Buy the Alder Shirtdress sewing pattern from Grainline Studio. Alder is a loosely fitted sleeveless shirtdress with two options. View A falls into an A-line below the bust and features bust darts, two breast pockets, and a curved hem. View B has the same bodice as View A, but with a gathered skirt at the sides and back of the dress.

54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: View A, 2 1/8 – 2 3/8 yd (1.9 – 2.1 m) // View B, 2 1/2 – 2 3/4 yd (2.3 – 2.5 m).
Sizes 14 – 32
45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: View A, 3 – 3 1/4 yd (2.7 – 2.9 m) // View B, 4 – 4 7/8 yd (3.6 – 4.4 m).
54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: View A, 2 3/8 – 3 1/4 yd (2.2 – 2.8 m) // View B, 3 1/8 – 3 3/8 yd (2.8 – 3 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32 (approx. UK 8 – 18 or UK 16 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
The 0 – 18 pattern is drafted for a B sewing cup size. The 14 – 32 pattern is drafted for a D sewing cup size. Both patterns are drafted for a height of 5’5″.
