Buy the B6878 Trousers and Shorts sewing pattern from Butterick. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner/intermediate dressmaker. Pleat front trousers have fly front zipper, side pockets, waistband with carriers and back welt pockets. View A is a tapered leg pant. View B is a wide leg pant, and View C is shorts. Suggested fabrics: Gabardine, Linen, Cotton Blends, Poplin, Twill. Interfacing: Lightweight Fusible.

Sizing: B5 (8-10-12-14-16), F5 (16-18-20-22-24), which is approx. UK sizes B5 (6 – 12), F5 (12 – 20/22) based on our standardised size chart. Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. A, B, C: Two Pants hook and bar closures, one 9″ (23 cm) or longer zipper, double-sided adhesive fabric tape, 1³/₈ yds. (1.3 m) (1.3m) of 1″ (2.5 cm) wide elastic for fitting, stay tape.
